Transfers came and now Im in Mercedes with Elder Lopez! He is from Guatemala and has 3 months on his missions. He is pretty chill. He works hard and wants to make sure he is doing things right. We get along really well and Im excited to work with him! Finally Spanish 24/7! haha he is latin but is learning English as all missionaries do. He already speaks super well. Anyways, this first week here with him has been great! We have seen a ton of miracles! Im stoked to be here and full of a lot of excitement for what we can do here as its got a lot of potencial. So here in Mercedes its campo so we ride on bikes and everything and everyone are more chill. Nothing compared to the city life like Im used to from my other areas. Mercedes is a really pretty city! Its very European and has some pretty sweet castle looking churches. I live in an apartment of four and I am the District Leader of them two and two other Hermanas. So there are six of us in one ward here. One of the Elders here in my apartment is Elder Wihongi from my MTC group! He is the one from New Zealand that plays rugby so its cool to be back again with him. The ward here is great there are about 65 active members.
I apparently came here at a great time as the branch here was recently made into a ward. So everyones pretty pumped to fulfill their callings and such. Our area right now is popping as well. This saturday we have the baptisms of Maxi, a fifteen year old of a recent convert. We also we able to help to other investigators arrive to church the first time this week! Ruben and Mariela. So I feel super blessed to be here and hope we can continue having success in this great work of the Lord!
