The work this week was pretty slow, not much to tell this week. But we are still going forward hopeful to find people that are prepared to accept this Gospel! I was asked to give a talk Saturday night for Sunday the next day. Apperently they didnt have any speakers. But it went well, suprisingly it was first talk I have given on my mission! You´d think I would talked more after nine months on the mission? But I was greatful to finally have the opportunity.
Not much us interesting happened this week other than an experience on Saturday. So we were waiting for a bus to go to the farthest part of our area. There is only one bus that goes over there and it only comes every 30 to 45 minutes. So we were waiting for about 30 minutes and finally it comes. But it passes us and another guy that was waiting! So we had to wait another 45 minutes for the same bus to come by. When it finally came by, he looked a little mad but just let us go on for free. Then about two stops later another guy gets on who is pretty mad that he didnt stop for him. Apparently the bus driver didnt stop for anyone, i dont know why but he didnt. Then the mad guy startes swearing and yelling at the bus driver for not stopping. The bus driver asks if he wants to fight about it and all of a sudden the bus driver gets up and they start fist fighting!. With the bus just in the middle of the road and us and everyone else on there! We all go back to the back of the bus as they are full on fighting! it was pretty intense. Finally someone with his kid says dude, I want to go to my house. So the bus driver says ok, ok for the people I will stop. So the guy that got mad just takes a seat and the bus driver drives on like nothing happened. It was crazy!
Miracle of the Week: So the miracle of the week is that Geronimo called us and said that his parents gave him a 100 percent permission to be baptized on the 14 of May! Wahoo! We are not really sure why still the change of heart from the parents, but we know it was a huge miracle!
Scripture of the Week: Alma 58..Its the classic story of the two thousand stripplings warriors. You should read it!
Investigator Progress Update:
Geronimo-Well Geronimo is super ready for his baptism and now that he can, we are all stoked. This Sunday, Geronimo´s little brother wanted to come with him to church, Tomi who is six, and like it a lot as well!
Rosa-We were able to talk with Rosa this week as well and brought a member with us, Sergio. We were able to have a very spiritual lesson with her. Right now she is going through a lot of hard times with her son, who is sick. But we were able to help her feel comforted.
