Happy fourth of July to all those in the United States of America! God bless you all! haha hope yáll have a great day today. This week for me went very well, despite the rain all week! It has been raining like crazy this entire week here, so things have been a little slow becaue of it. But we were still able to move the work forward a lot here in Rivadavia. Last Tuesday, we were invited to a meeting with the ward council and also the stake presidency here. We were able to see a lot of good results out of it and everyone it starting to work really well together now. We were also able to find out what happened to Irene and get the baptisms all figured out. Turns out that Irene had gotten beaten by her exhusband who was drunk and he wouldnt leave her house. So she left her house for the safety of her kids! But everythings all good now and she is back safe in her house, startled but still excited to get baptized. Her baptism will now be this Saturday. Mario and his family have been sick so they havent been able to come to church and we think they need a little more work, so we are going to postpone his baptism for a few more weeks, but its only a matter of time until he as well gets baptized!
We had a lot of plans of investigators coming to church this week, but sadly because of the rains we weren´t able to have so many. But we are looking good to have a lot of progressing next week!
Scripture of the Week: Jacob 1:19. I came across this scripture last week and it called my attention. We all of responsibilties as members in the church to help others. I personally as a missionary want to be able to magnify my calling better.
Funny of the Week: So my companion, Elder Huber is very well known for his eating habits. He eats a ton and never gets full! We finish eating a large meal and then twenty to thirty minutes later he is hungry again! haha I dont know how he does. Lucky right? Anyways, nothing in particular to share just that we always go to members and they joke with about it, its pretty funny. It even brought me to the point of learning how to cook. It was one of the reason that gave me stronger desires to learn to cook well on the mission to be able to "fill the beast".
Investigator Progress Update: Astril and Julio are doing well. Julio is more and more interested the more we come by and Astril is a great influence on him, so thats great. Last week, we had a lesson with a young member couple(Javier and Sofia) so they could get to know some people in the ward and have friends before coming to church(which by the way they said they were this last Sunday). But in the end, I think the storms scared them off, it happens a lot but oh well Im sure they´ll come next week!
Love you all and have a happy fourth of July! Til next week!
