Geronimo and district leader!

¡Hola Todos!

Hey everyone! This message this week will be short, because Im short on time. But this week was filled with a lot of changes! First of all, I got my new companion, Elder Huber! He is from Magna, Utah and has about 5 months on the mission. He is 6 foot 5! After this week, I feel we will do great together!
So this week we had the baptism of Geronimo! It was a great experience! Part of his family was able to come as well which was awesome. I think they enjoyed it a lot! Who knows, maybe in the future they will return for their baptisms...
I also got some other big news this week! I am now the new District Leader! Our other District Leader had to go home for medical reasons so the Assistents called me and told me, President felt that I should be the new Distirct Leader! Its a lot of added responsibility, but more than anything Im excited to serve and help my district more!

Sorry for such the short message, Ill write more next week! Love you all!
I will right everything down and give a more detailed explanation next week. I promise!! I pretty much shared it all, its just the smaller details that I have shared, more of the stories to it all.
for example, what happened at the baptism(cliff hanger, we almost didnt have water for him to be baptized in, it was a miracle at the end)
And what I do as a district leader, and also my relationship with mycomp. the work that is going on here, our investigators....things like that

My time is super short but I will hurry and send the pictures if i can and a mass email. So what happened was that we had to come to the city and my comp had to practice with other Elders to do a song for our zone meeting tomorrow. So now Im writing in Moron, so im not writing in my usual place. I dont know if the usb port works to send pictures, but im trying. Worse comes to worse I tell the whole story next week and send the picutres.

Bump in the night!

He fell down the metal narrow staircase alright! and bruised his foot up pretty good, and dislocated his shoulder AGAIN, but he just popped it back in himself. CRAZY KID! Stop sleep walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night! lol

¡Hola Todos!

I hope everyone had a great Mother´s Day! I did for sure, it was great to skype the family! So as the end of the week came so did this transfer! It flew by! I will be staying in my area of Rivadavia, but my companion Elder McDonald is getting transferred! Im not sure exactly who my companion is yet, so I will let you all know next week!
But anyways, it was a great week to end out the transfers! We had a ton of awesome miracles! But all the good things that happened came with a price for me haha! I spent about half the week limping around because I half slept walked/fell down our spiral staircase on Monday night! Haha, but Im all good and it didnt stop me from working! Thats one thing that I have learned and developed in the mission that has helped me a lot: To make sure Im always happy and not letting anything fase me no matter the situation.
So anyways, this week we were able to find a lot of great people to teach that accepted baptismal dates! A lot of look very hopeful to progress. We were also able to see five of our investigaters come to church!

New Investigater of the Week: The new investigater of the week is called Irene! She is a single mom with three small kids from six down to one years old. We found her through a reference from Elders in another area. She has family who are members, and she was at her sisters house I think right when the missionaries were over there. She has never wanted to listen to the missionaries before, but she said that the message she heard from them really touched her and said she wanted to go to church and have the missionaries over. So thats were we came in. We passed by her and taught her the restoration and she accepted to come to church and get baptized! She has a baptismal date for the 28 of May! This Sunday she came to church like she said as well with her kids!

Scripture of the Week: Uh right now, I cant remember the exact scripture but its in 3 Nephi 18-19 where it talks about when Jesus prays in front of the Nephites. I love this part, because it shows an awesome example of prayer from the Lord and his love he shows. I invite you all to improve your prayers. Instead of just saying them, really express what you want to say, and listen for the Spirit to guide you. It makes all the difference.

Investigater Progress Update:
Geronimo!- One week countdown until his baptism! Hes all ready to go! This week for after church, he made a cake and brought it to share with the ward! Hes such a stud.
Rosa Gallardo-Remember her? We havent been able to pass by in a long time because her son is pretty sick now and they have been in the hospital alot. But this week she surprised us and came to church with him! Shes really great and for sure will get baptized in the future. The bishop was able to give him a blessing and one for comfort for Rosa as well.

Love you all! Til next week,

The church is true!

¡Hola Todos!

Hey everyone! This week was great as well! Right now we are working hard to finish out this transfer good and with the baptism of Geronimo the 14 of May! This week we saw a lot of progress in our companionship and especially I have seen great personal progress. Im happier than ever and enjoying the good moments and learning from and taking advantage of the trials. Im really greatful to be helping everyone I can here, whether they want it or not.

Scripture of the Week: My scripture of the week is actually a chapter, but oh well. its in Helaman 15, good stuff!

New Investigator of the Week: The new investigator of the week is a woman named Elizabeth. We found her through less active member family. We were having a lesson with them, the family Romero, when they told us about a woman and her 7 going to be 8 kids that they had kindof taken in to help. They moved in to a little house in front of the Romeros, wih nothing. No food, no warm clothing, practically nothing. So the Romeros are helping them out a lot and we are also trying to get the relief society involved as well. But the Romeros asked if we could help them on the spiritual side as well. So we were able to go over there and have a good lesson with her. She is actually very smart and has a good religious believes that are very similar to ours. She was baptized in the Jehovah Witness´s Church and didnt have a good experience, but she said she would get baptized if she was sure of the truth. So it might be a slow process, but really its only a matter of time that shes a member of this true church for sure! Unfortunately, she wasnt able to come to church the first sunday, because she was sick, but we´re hopeful for next week!

Investigator Progress of the Week:
Geronimo: Its only a matter of weeks until Geronimo gets baptized! He bore his testimony again this past sunday about how his parents let him get baptized. He said he was reading in the Book of Mormon, about a part when they prayed for their brethren and then their hearts were softened. He needed the same thing to happen with his parents to allow him to be baptized. So he prayed and thats exactly what happened. Their parents changed their minds and allowed him to get baptized now. I have never seen so much faith in a 14 year boy since Joseph Smith! haha Geronimo is great.
I dont have much to update with our other investigators, because we weren´t able to teach them, but next week!

The Church is true! Love you all!
